The 120 metre high An Steall Ban (The White Waterspout), gives its name to one of the best high level routes in Lochaber - the 'Ring of Steall'. The ascent of An Gearanach is steep and unrelenting.
Access to Steall Falls requires a crossing of the Water of Nevis, and for this purpose a wire bridge has been provided. It's actually three wires - one for your feet and one for each hand. The falls feature in the film 'Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire', as a backdrop to the Triwizard Tournament, where broomsticks make the wire bridge redundant.
