Transit of Venus
Cheshire, England, 2004

The transit of Venus on 8th June 2004 was the first since 1882, and there won't be another one fully visible from Britain until the twenty-third century.

As seen from Culcheth, Cheshire, the Sun and Venus were obscured by cloud for the start and end of the six hour transit, but were visible through haze from time to time.
