Mullwharchar, a granite hill in Ayrshire, slopes down to Loch Enoch in one of the most remote parts of Dumfries and Galloway. There’s a small lochan on an island in Loch Enoch, although at almost 500m above sea level, there aren’t usually crowds of wild swimmers here.
